Post-Publication Corrections and Retractions

The HighTech and Innovation Journal is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scientific record. To ensure transparency and trust in scholarly communication, the journal provides a clear policy for issuing errata and corrigenda.

Definitions

  • Erratum (plural: Errata): A correction of an error introduced by the publisher during the production process (e.g., formatting issues, typesetting mistakes, author affiliation errors).
  • Corrigendum (plural: Corrigenda): A correction of an error made by the authors in the published article (e.g., misreported data, incorrect references, factual inaccuracies).

Submission and Publication of Corrections

  • Authors or readers who identify a significant error in a published article should notify the editorial office at: office@hightechjournal.org.
  • The editorial team will assess the reported issue to determine whether it warrants a formal correction.
  • If approved, a correction notice (either Erratum or Corrigendum) will be published promptly, linked to the original article, and clearly labeled in the journal’s table of contents.
  • Minor typographical errors that do not affect the interpretation or integrity of the article will not be corrected post-publication.

Retractions and Editorial Notes

If an error substantially compromises the validity of the article, a retraction or editorial note may be issued following the COPE Retraction Guidelines.

Reader Feedback and Author Response

We actively encourage readers, researchers, and members of the academic community to share their feedback, comments, or concerns regarding published articles. Constructive post-publication dialogue is essential for improving scientific discourse and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record.

When feedback is received, it will be carefully reviewed by the editorial team. If a concern or critique is found to be valid and relevant, the corresponding author(s) will be invited to provide a formal response. Where appropriate, these responses may be published alongside the original article or as part of an editorial notice to ensure transparency and accountability.

In cases where factual errors, omissions, or misinterpretations are identified, the editorial team will initiate a review process to determine whether a correction, clarification, or retraction is required. This process will follow COPE’s best practices for post-publication discussions and corrections.

Archiving and Version Control

The HighTech and Innovation Journal is committed to maintaining a transparent and traceable record of all published content. Therefore, all post-publication changes—including corrections, editorial notes, updates, and retractions—are meticulously documented, timestamped, and linked to the original article.

Each modification is labeled according to its nature (e.g., Corrigendum, Erratum, Retraction) and assigned a unique identifier to distinguish it from the original version. Previous versions of the article will remain accessible to readers through version history or reference links, ensuring that the scientific record remains clear, complete, and transparent.
